Culinary Cutie

Here are some of the many things Emerson has created in the kitchen. I would say that she helps me but it's more like I'm helping her. She always has great ideas of what we should make and then I have to try my best to figure out how to do it. I think her favorite part is accidently getting frosting on her fingers so she has to lick them.

I can't say enough about the absolute enjoyment of Summer. I do like it when Fall rolls around and bundling up in the Winter, but you can't beat those warm nights eating frozen yogurt outside or letting Emme stay up late because she took a nap at 3:00 in the afternoon, wiped out from being in the pool all day. It just makes sense to wake up early and stay up late. We did 4 different crafts, had breakfast and were all cleaned up before 10am! (That's a little much and I'm not really recommending it.) It is  a great season and it is even better when you get to enjoy it through the eyes of a 3 year old.

The District

Well it has been said that I am living at The District this summer. We have been loving our Tuesday family nights watching Emme run through the fountains, enjoying fun time with friends and family, good food ($.99 tacos at Whole Foods, thanks Carrie!) and awesome tunes by daddy. Anson has been playing at Open Mic on Tuesdays from 6-8, so come on out and join us if you are free and vote for Anson... the winner gets a gig. It has really been a great time to just hang out and get together with people we love!
